Characteristics:
For sale in this auction are one Cray J90 CPU and two
Cray J90 Memory Modules. The Cray J90 CPU Module is the middle
module in the picture to the right. Each Memory Module is 1GigaWord.
The J90 series is based on CMOS technology which has a low power consumption
(all J90s are air cooled) and low production costs. The machine is binary
compatible with the high-end systems. It has one multiply and add vector
pipe set per CPU at a clock cycle of 10 ns which results in a theoretical
peak performance of 200 Mflop/s. Furthermore, a cache has been added
to speed up scalar processing.
Cray J90 Computers are 16 processor Y-MP compatible systems. The vector
based CPU is rated at 200 MegaFLOPS, yielding combined 3200 MegaFLOPS
computation speed.
Cray uses units such as clicks, words, and megawords to measure memory
size. For example, 1GB (gigabyte) is referred to in Cray terminology
as 128 MW (megawords), and 4096 bytes as 1 block, or 1 click, or 1 sector.

SE processor which is very rare.
